Activity 2 Day 2 Weekly Activityy`


Activity 2: Rio de Janeiro, the host of Olympic Games this year, is a huge, vibrant and dynamic city. Perhaps the most famous landmark in the city is a large statue of Jesus called ‘Christ the Redeemer’ that sits on top of a hill overlooking Rio. Here is a picture of the statue:

New Zealand is also known for many famous landmarks, including the Sky writer and the Harbour Bridge. In your blog list 3 famous landmarks in New Zealand. Along with the name of each landmark provide a brief description of it. Where is the landmark located? In your opinion, why is it famous?  

These are the three Land Marks:

1.Air Force Museum of New Zealand:
The Air Force Museum of New Zealand is located at Wigram, in Christchurch. It was found on the 1 April in 1978  as part of the celebrations for the RNZAF's 50th anniversary. 


2. Hobbiton Movie Set:
The Hobbiton Movie Set was created by film director Sir Peter Jackson.The most visitors that has been to the Hobbiton was in 2013 it was about 240,000 visitors, more than 800,000 visitors ever since 2004 when it was opened. Around each house there are about 30- 200 gardens.

3. Harbour Bridge:
The length of the Habour Bridge is 1,020 meters.The Harbour bridge is located in Auckland New Zealand. The Harbour bridge was first opened on the 30 May in 1959.  It only allows 13 - 14 tones on the outside lane.
