Our Soul friend Mass

A Soul friend is an older student who looks after a younger student. They are like a role model to them. Soul friend is an Irish tradition that was introduced to our school by the Holy Faith Nuns that came from Ireland more than 50 years ago.

At Saint Pius I help my soul friend by reading to them.Today we had our soul friend’s Mass also we promised our soul friends that we would care and respect My two soul friend’s. My 2 soul friends are in Room 4 and they are both boys.  My soul friend’s are Paula and Nasilli they are both year 2 students who are in Room 4. My soul friend Nasilli like to read and do maths. My other soul friend Paula likes to talk most of the time.

It is a great story about a boy who did not show responsibility and respect for his role.

Structure of Narrative Story

ORIENTATION - Where did it took place: When did it happened:  Who is ?in the story Where-Out of school and in school. When-There was a problem between Tomasi and Richmond. Who- Tomasi, Richmond,Miss Latu,Jess,Issac and Fai

COMPLICATION - What is the problem? The problem was Tomasi and Richmond from Saint Benedict’s school had a fight.

SEQUENCE OF EVENT - Plot -  What happened in sequence?  You can bullet point the main events. Miss Latu announced the two captain who represented the boys. After school they walked down. The next day Tomasi and Richmond had a fight. Then Richmond gave Tomasi a black eye. Then the school found out the day he had a fight. Then he said to his friend if the teacher was going to ask him what happened he would lie and say he fell off the skate board.

RESOLUTION - How was the problem solved? This problem wasn’t solved.

CONCLUSION:I think that Tomasi shouldn’t have told lies because if the teacher’s find out he will be in bigger trouble and the badge of honour will get taken of him.

Adding Decimals

Learn:I was learning how to add huge numbers by putting them in the correct order, and also putting the decimal dot's in a line.
