Holiday Recount

Yes! During the first week of school holidays my family and I were getting our 2 bedrooms rear unit prepared for our relatives to come and stay. They arrived on Thursday 25, 2015  then we had our practice, singing and dancing. Everything went well and everyone was happy about everything until someone made a mistake then my uncle also yelled at me for not listening. I got embarrassed but after a while I felt better again.  He apologised then we finished off the night with a mid-night snack.

Next, all of us fell asleep like dead pigs lying everywhere. Brrrrrring! Brrrrrrrrrrrring! The alarm went off and everyone got up and rushed around like animals, because we were running out of time.  We quickly hopped into the van and zoomed to Mt Albert War Memorial Reserve  for the opening of our Reunion.  A great massive delicious feast was prepared for all the families that came, meanwhile everyone was eating and I jumped out of my seat and escaped from my seat because I felt nauseated.

Last of all when it finished, we went home lazily and so exhausted.  When we got home we raced to see who was going to sleep on the bed as the late ones would have to sleep on the mattresses.  WOW What a day it was and I was completely used up.

Narrative Writing

On a Tuesday morning December 15 1957 there stayed a girl with her two enormous brothers at 101 line road the names were Francesca, Jake and Sam. One day the brothers told their young sister Francesca to stay home while they were going to there friends house. While they were gone the young sister was worried that they left her alone at home and wasn't going to return. So that night there young sister sneaked out of the house and into the searching for her two older brothers.   

Later that night while she was searching, she saw a house covered with wood. She was tired so she decided to go and have a break. When she walked inside it looked flash. The young girl was amazed so she  decided that she was going to have a rest. Once her two brothers got home from there friends house, they called out her name but she was nowhere to be found.

Next Jake and Sam started to get worried so off they went looking for her. During their mission, Sam spotted a house with wood covered on it so he screamed out to Jake that he had spotted a house with wood on it so they quickly ran.

When she was finally found, everyone was in a great relieved that there sister was found. They hugged and kissed her and said we hope you will learn a lesson from this and it’ll never happen again.

This week was our testing week in 2016. I think in my P.A.T maths I did well because I came out Staine 6. In reading I was below and I need to do more practice in my reading. At the end of this year I hope I can be Stanine 7 in reading, and I hope I can be Stanine 8 in maths.

Malo and welcome to my learning journey 2016.This year I am excited and looking forward to learn a lot of new things. I am 12 years old and a year 8 student at Saint Pius x school.
